I also really liked the fight on Malak's ship which was also really challenging and in the Sith Temple. I mainly agree but, I loved the Star Forge fight. Only the best moments of Mass Effect get even Stedford Spoilers below. I'll always pick K2 with the Restored Content Mod as my favourite, but without the mod, or when playing on Xbox, K1 wins.Įither way, both titles are 'Never Before, Never Again' creations. The elephant in the room: the game is unfinished without a Restored Content Mod. This can be remedied with a good PC mod though. I can't tell you how many hours I've spent at a workbench. Pazaak for example, is much more fun here. One of the most replayable single player titles ever. + Storyline has more layers to it some of which are only revealed on multiple, multiple playthroughsml. Certain points in the game feel incorrectly scaled, making some enemies absolute blaster sponges. T3 and HK-47 have weaker appearances in K1 over K2 (imo). Little things, like Plasteel Cylinder not telling you they're empty. + Certain planets, like Taris and Manaan, are still quite beautiful 18 years later (minus a few dodgy textures) + Bastila's role in the story was very well written. Not mindblowingly good, but good nonetheless. I recently played them both back to back just a few days ago, so I'll break 'em down a little:
